Gayle trained at Camberwell College of Art and Brighton University, gaining a BA(Hons) in Fashion Textiles. Upon graduating she worked in Fashion Buying for a large UK Department store and enjoyed being involved in this fast-paced, trend-led environment. She moved to East Sussex to bring up her 2 daughters in 2008 and started to paint again in 2013.
Being brought up in London, she is inspired by the animals that surround her in the East Sussex countryside and her aim is to create artwork that looks beautiful within people’s homes. She is influenced by trends in fashion and interiors and her textile training is evident in the decorative backgrounds of her paintings. Gayle has shown her work in Galleries and Art Fairs across the South East. She was featured in Sussex Style Magazine as “One to Watch” in 2015 and her work has featured in Index magazine and Country Homes and Interiors. She welcomes commissions.
